SCOTT SPORTS CONTINUES PARTNERSHIP WITH SKYRUNNER WORLD SERIES

SCOTT Sports is pleased to announce that it will continue its partnership with the 2015 Skyrunner® World Series, along with other prestigious outdoor brands such as Salomon, Arc’teryx, inov-8, La Sportiva and Compressport.
SCOTT Sports will be present not only with a team of top international runners, but will again be present as main sponsor at the successful Matterhorn Ultraks, the second race in the Sky Series in 2015.
SCOTT Sports International Running Team
The international team of world-class athletes includes Italian runner Marco De Gasperi, a six-time World Mountain Running Champion and top level sky runner. Major highlights of his career include 3 victories at Sierre-Zinal and his win at the Jungfrau marathon in 2010. As a member of the Italian National team he won 11 WMRA® championships. He has also won 3 silver medals and one bronze as a member of the Italian National team, totaling 23 medals in the WMRA® World Championships! Elisa Desco, who won the Skyrunner World Championships in Chamonix in 2014, will also be joining our competitive team of international racers.
American Joseph Gray, named USA mountain runner of the year for the fifth time in his career in 2014, and the first athlete ever to win both NACAC cross country and mountain championships, will definitely be the man to beat in the different mountain and trail races in the USA.
SCOTT`s 2015 Running Collection
SCOTT Sports has enjoyed much success with the Kinabalu trail shoe – named after the 4,000m Malaysian mountain which has represented the final of the Skyrunner® World Series on many occasions. SCOTT athlete Marco De Gasperi set the standing race record here.
Alongside the Kinabalu, new styles such as the Trail Rocket and the Supertrac are proposed for 2015, together with the new running apparel collection.

2015 Skyrunner® World Series calendar
In 2015 the Skyrunner® World Series will go global – with more races in more places. Furthermore, a change was made to the ranking formula: The successful 5 SKY/ 5 ULTRA / 5 VK remains, where three out of five results are scored. However, a fourth race of the runner`s choice from the Continental Championships must be included to complete the ranking.
