Scott USA is seeking a qualified individual for the full-time position of Graphic Designer - Motocross Gear. This position may be located in either our Tacoma, WA or Sun Valley, ID offices. Freelance work will also be considered.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have familiarity and understanding of youth driven action-sport culture with a focus on motocross. In particular, the fashion and trends that exist within (and surround) the sport of motocross. They must be able to take concepts from the monitor to the masses. They will be responsible for the creation of designs from concept to reality that advances Scott’s USA motocross image, product performance and innovation. This individual must have strong organizational and time management skills.
Primary Job Duties:
- Partner with marketing, promotions and product development in setting visual direction and creative execution for multiple mx categories
- Assist in research that aids the development of fresh creative ideas for product, advertising and promotions
- Develop trade advertising, posters, p.o.p, and packaging dedicated to specific mx line segments
- Fulfill requests for art and/or photography from requesting parties
- Responsible for color-ups, closing points and production work for a variety of mx categories ie: gear, goggles, and boots
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Graphic Design (or equivalent)
- Familiarity with motocross design in areas of motocross gear, goggles and softgoods
- 2-4 years of work experience within the motocross industry specifically related to off road gear design
- Candidate must excel in Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Expert conceptual, layout and type-handling abilities required
- Advanced digital production skills
- Strong communication/interaction skills
