SCOTT Moto Athletes at Anaheim 3

04 février 2013

Round 5 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series is in the books after visiting Anaheim, California for the 3rd and final time.  SCOTT athletes were out in force looking for the coveted podium finish.  On this date, only one SCOTT athlete would find the podium, while the rest found themselves battling for every point available.

250 SX Class

Martin Davalos

Monster Energy Pro Circuit Racing and SCOTT athlete Martin Davalos came out swinging in Anaheim, winning his heat race and securing a great gate pick for the main event.  Davalos got a great jump off the gate and ronded the first turn in third, quickly making a pass for second.  Martin rode with great patience and consistency and eventually finished the race 2nd overall.  This podium marks Martin's 2nd of the season and moved him from 7th to 4th in the West Coast 250SX point standings.

Dakota Tedder

SCOTT goggle athlete Dakota Tedder rode well all day and qualified for the 250SX main event with a 7th place finish the first heat race.  In the main event Dakota rode well and finished the race with a respectable 18th place finish.

450 SX Class

Andrew Short

Things got interesting in the 450SX class this weekend, with many top riders getting caught in a third turn crash.  SCOTT goggle athlete Andrew Short navigated his way through the carnage and managed to earn a 6th place finish in the 450SX main event.  Short has been consistent this season and sits in 6th place in the 450SX point standings.

Trey Canard

SCOTT goggle athlete Trey Canard didn't have the race he was hoping for in Anaheim.  Canard transferred to the 450SX main by way of a 4th place finish in the second heat race.  In the 450SX main event, Canard had several small crashes and mistakes that relegated him to 7th by the time the checkered flag was thrown.  Canard now sits in 3rd in the 450SX point standings.

Matt Lemoine

JAB Motorsports rider and SCOTT athlete Matt Lemoine had a great Anaheim 3.  Matt qualified for the 450SX main event with a 7th place finish in the first 450 heat race.  In the main event Lemoine found himself kickstarting his bike when the gate dropped, relegating him to a last place start.  Matt was able to get his bike started moments after the gate dropped and he went to work climbing his way through the field.  By the time the checkered flag flew, Matt had worked his way up to 11th, giving him his best result to date in the 450SX class.  Matt is 17th in the 450SX point standings.

Monster girls
