St. Louis Supercross

The 9th round of Monster Energy Supercross took place in St. Louis, MO last weekend in the famed Edward Jones Dome.  The 3rd round of the East Coast series found riders sitll eager to make their mark in the 250SX class.  Heading into the St. Louis round, SCOTT athlete Dean Wilson held the red plate and the point lead after winning the opening round and taking 2nd place in the following round.

Wilson's night started off great with a dominant heat race win in the second 250SX heat race.  Wilson didn't get the best start in the main and found himself mid-pack. Dean went to work early and made his way into the second position by the midway point of the race.  He pressured the race leader hard but wasn't able to make the pass by the checkered flag.  Dean earned 2nd place on the night and continues to move forward in the hunt for the East Coast 250SX title.

Zack Freeburg

SCOTT goggle athlete Zack Freeburg made his first main event of the season by qualifying 6th in the first 250SX heat race.  Freeburg would go on to finish a respectable 12th place in the main.

Justin Hill

Rookie SCOTT goggle athlete Justin Hill had a good weekend despite his main event results.  Hill transferred to the main event with a solid 2nd place finish in his heat race.  In the main event, Hill had a small tip-over which put him at the back of the pack.  Hill rallied to 16th by the checkers.

450SX Class

The 450SX main event was one of the most exciting races of the year.  After a red flag was pulled, the field was forced to restart in a staggered start formation for the 3rd time this season.

Trey Canard

SCOTT goggle athlete Trey Canard did his best in St. Louis, where he qualified for the main event with a 6th place finish in the first heat race.  He then earned an 8th place finish in the main event due to a late-race crash that put him back.  Canard still sits 4th in the point standings.

Andrew Short

SCOTT athlete Andrew Short was 10th in the main event and is steadily improving week to week on his new BTO Sports KTM.  Short is in 8th place in the 450SX points.

Phil Nicoletti

Phil Nicoletti qualified for the main event in St. Louis with a 6th place finish in the second 450SX heat race.  Phil went on to finish 19th on the night.

Monster girls

The Supercross Series heads to the famed Daytona Speedway in Florida next weekend for the 10th round of the series.
