Roz Groenewoud wins second SuperPipe X Games gold medal

The Women’s Ski SuperPipe finals at Winter X Games in Tignes were a tight and thrilling battle. It was the third and final run for the ladies that decided who took home gold.
Roz Groenewoud’s first run put her into the top position, but Logan quickly knocked her to second with an amazing run. As Roz wasn’t able to improve on her score in the second run, it all came down to her third and final run. The SCOTT team rider was the last women of the night to drop in. Kicking things off with a 900, cork 540, 720 and switch 540, Roz sealed the deal on her second X Games gold medal of the season.
Groenewoud said: “I knew I was in second so I just tried to push myself and charge as hard as possible to get the gold. And it worked.”
Roz G won with two points more in front of silver medalist Devin Logan and local girl Anais Caradeux who earned the bronze.
Maddie Bowman, rider of the SCOTT Team North America, wasn’t able to put down a solid enough run to knock Anais off the podium and finished on the 6th place.
In men’s pipe the youngest competitor in the field, Torin Yater-Wallace, won the final event in front of Thomas Krief and David Wise. SCOTT Team North America rider Noah Bowman scored 85.00 in his second run and earned the 5th place.
