As a huge fan of 29er XC bikes I expected to find the midsize wheel platform lacks many of the traits I love about the bigger wheels: momentum, traction, and roll-over ability. However, the 27.5 wheels took the sting out of the deep braking bumps and didn’t feel twitchy like a 26. Acceleration does indeed seem snappier than a 29er, too.
