- 2014 Freeride World Champion

“It’s a dream come true. I didn’t feel so good up at the start. I was under a lot of pressure and was not really confident with my line. Once on the face you just have to go for it, fast and big, and it worked out well. This first year on the tour my objective was to be top 12 to qualify to Verbier. To win is a dream! So cool”

Athlete talk

How and when did you start skiing? How do you think that it has it evolved since then, and what got you into free skiing?

I started skiing at the age of 2 years old with my grandfather. From there, I’ve done everything from alpine skiing, mogul skiing and freestyle. With these influences, I moved into the freeride world two years ago.

Who were/are your idols on and off the hill?

I looked up to Seb Michaud and Candide Thovex. What does skiing mean to you personally? It is my passion- plain and simple.

What are your three biggest accomplishments on the hill to date?

Stepping onto international podiums in three different disciplines, pipe, slopestyle and freeride!

What do you do during summertime?

During the summer months I work as a mason.

How do you prepare for the winter season? Do you have a special training plan?

I have no special plan, I work in the summer and I do a lot of mountaineering.

Where do you train/ski the most and why?

I ride mostly at my home spot in La Clusaz. I know that place like the back of my hand.

After your FWT win in 2014, what are your goals for 2015?

Keeping the title as Freeride world champion!

What aspect of skiing thrills you the most?

Big drops and steep faces.

In what conditions and what terrain do enjoy riding the most?

I just love shredding pow with my buddies.

Any activities that aren’t ski related?

I like to hunt, fish and to spend time outdoors.

How do you manage to combine family/friends and job?

I try to give a little time to each!
