As a kid I spent most of my free time burning around my yard on my bike. Once I got older I got into mountain biking. Kranked 5 was my inspiration. Athletes like Vanderham and Berrecloth got me stoked to go ride what ever I could on my bike. Eventually I started building my own stuff around the property and I haven’t stopped building since. The only difference now is I build with excavators and split cedar, rather than 2x4’s and my dad’s mill scraps.
Many aspects of mountain biking have influenced and shaped my life style. One aspect that has grown into a passion is media production. I took photo in grade 10 and learned the basics of shooting & developing B&W film. This gave me the most solid starting point to using a manual camera. I carried all the stuff I learned over to videography and things haven’t slowed down since then. Now I work along side Bjorn Enga of Radical Films as an assistant editor, cinematographer, photographer, and trail builder.
I live in a small town on the coast of B.C. called Roberts Creek. RC sits on the foot of mount Elphinstone. No matter where I go or what I do nothing is better than the riding in Roberts Creek. The beautiful lush mountain terrain has shaped me into the rider that I am today. To me mountain biking is riding trails. Nothing is as fun as pinning a trail with flow. Free ride and downhill are my main focus but I enjoy slope style and jumping as well. I spend my free time riding as much as possible, building new lines and shooting with photographers.
