With Emma Johansson back in the bunch the team took on Belgian classic "Omloop van Hageland"(UCI 1.2) with confidence. And we succeeded, all day we had girls in breaks.
Longest was Lise Nøstvold, who spent 1.5 hours ahead of the peloton with 3 others. When they was caught on last round Elisa Longo Borghini counterattacked 5 km before the finish. She got 2 girls on her wheel, both better sprinters. She attacked again 500 meters before the finish, but the English champion Lizzie Armitstead caught up with her and won.
"We are happy with our first podium spot this season, despite terrible conditions (as can be seen from the pictures). The race was also marred wih multiple crashes, most unlucky was Cecilie Johansen, who is out for 3 weeks with a knee injury. 94 of the 195 starters finished the race" said Karl Lima, Team Manager.
The was composed from Emma Johansson, Tone Hatteland Lima, Christel Ferrier Bruneau, Lise Nøstvold, Frøydis Wærsted, Elisa Longo Borghini and Cecilie Johansen.
