Joseph Gray Wins Sun Valley Half Marathon

SCOTT athlete Joseph Gray of Newcastle, WA paid a weeklong visit to the Ketchum/Sun Valley area in search of altitude training and left loaded with silverware after a victorious outing in the 2012 Sun Valley Half Marathon.  With a final time of 1:14:50, Gray out-climbed and out-paced the field by over 9 minutes, running in the SCOTT Race Rocker, and lightweight, high-performance race flat.  En route to the overall victory, Gray also claimed the King of the Mountain (first to the highest point on the course).

Immediately after the race Gray headed out to gain yet more vertical by climbing Dollar Mountain, the ski resort adjacent to the finish line, before taking home the first place prize, a beautiful hand-painted dish.

SCOTT congratulates Mr. Gray on a fantastic result, and looks forward to seeing Joseph compete this summer in both domestic and international competitions, including Sierre Zinal and the World Mountain Running Championships.
