A Friday like no other

04 September 2012
At 10 o’clock 1,920 runners departed from Courmayeur for the start of the CCC (Courmayeur Champex Chamonix).  The race covers 100km of trails with 5950m of ascent in the spectacular area around Mont Blanc and the Grandes Jorrasses.
For many of the participating trail runners the CCC will be an enduring challenge that will push them to their limits. For those leading at the front this year’s race was made even more difficult with the terrible weather conditions. In the lead group was Nicolas PIANET (SCOTT-ODLO-LES SAISIES) and although new to this distance ran a strong race. As the eventual winner Tofol CASTENER BERNAT started to pull away, Nicolas was still in strong contention but was then overtaken towards the end by Mickael PASERO.
For Nicolas PIANET this confirmed his ability to move to the longer race distances with renowned confidence.

This was a Friday like no other. And also for SCOTT this event has been a first release with the launch of the new T2 Kinabalu at the Tradeshow and Nicolas wearing it with great success.

Thanks for this great result Nicolas.
