Meet Luke. The Western Australian came to cycling from triathlon as a young teen and holds the distinction of being the youngest medal winner in the U23 Individual World Time Trial Championship.
Luke won his first medal in the U23 division in Geelong in 2010. The then 19-year-old took second behind Taylor Phinney. Luke climbed to the top step of the podium in Copenhagen last year.
Dubbed “Durbo the Turbo” by the media, Luke boasts titles on both the track and the road on national and international stages. Like many of his Australian teammates, he got his start within the Australian Sports Institute fold. Unlike most of his teammates, however, Durbridge has ridden exclusively for Australian teams during his young career.
"Being part of the first Australian WorldTour team is massive. I’ve been working with the AIS since my career started, so this is the perfect match. I honestly couldn’t see myself anywhere else."
