Interview
Where and when was your first race and where in the field did you finish?
It was at school for the traditional cross country. I was the smallest girl in my race (today it is not very different) but I finished first (litle but strong it is well known) and my sister (one year older than me) was also the first of her race...
What must you take with you on a long run?
Well, something very light because what I like the most is to feel free without any contrain. The smallest water bag I have with enough glucose to go up and down in the mountains…a long time.
What is the most interesting race you have ever run and what made it so special?
Sierre Zinal of course, the organisation, the place (le vallais suisse), and the international level…everything is gathered to make this race the most famous race in mountain running.
Who has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
Anna Pitchrova…she is amazing, she can climb and go down so fast. She is so nice even with her exceptional palmares...
If you could choose anyone (living or dead) to go running with, who would it be and why?
My friends ( Elise, Valérie…Charles, Damien, Romain...) to speak and laugh along the run.
Who has influenced you most in your running and why?
My mother. It is thanks to her that I run. She run since I was little and at 18 years old I began to follow her during her training. Thanks to her, one of my first big race was the cross du Mont Blanc (Chamonix) that made me like mountain running.
What race do you dream of winning?
There is lot…but Sierre Zinal would be great.
Take your pick…
Decaf or Regular?
Decaf as I am enough speed without coffee so no need to add more energy.
Beer or Wine?
Joker, neither beer nor wine…or a good beer (from belgium) for my coach.
Race Bike or Cruiser?
Race bike of course but only to go up in the mountains….I hate flat roads but I love so much when it goes up very strong…
MP3 or Birds and Rivers?
Birds and rivers. It is so quiet to hear the nature when you run alone.
Gel or Bars?
Gel as it is easier to eat during competition.
Sauna or Shower?
Shower : hot after training in winter and cold in summer..
Cinema or Book?
Book. With the new technologies we don't take enough time to read.
