Well-recognized amongst Australian cycling fans as the winner of the green jersey in the 2003 Tour de France, the Victorian has enjoyed a wide journey in his lengthy cycling career.
Baden got his start with an American team and made a name for him self on Française des Jeux, where he rode with Matt Wilson and countryman Bradley McGee. His time on the French squad was followed by stints with a succession of smaller teams and two years at Bjarne Riis’ Saxo Bank setup.
In recent years Baden’s focused his efforts on one-day classics. It is here where he sees his calling with GreenEDGE. Baden is intent on winning a classic and is excited about the opportunity to work alongside teammates with similar ambitions.
"For the classics I’m as strong as I’ve ever been, and the next two years will be my best. I had one of my strongest classics campaigns this year, including Paris-Roubaix."
