Safa Brian and Alex Colorito set out to show that there are epic adventures to be had in everyone’s backyard. Join them in the three-part series, Forgotten Roads, as they explore unique new gravel routes in their home state of California. Providing a fresh perspective on familiar locations, they are able to reach new locations they’d never have the chance to explore if it wasn’t for the ability to get there by bike.
Alex and Brian hope that by showing what they’re able to find in their own backyard will inspire riders around the world to find adventure in their own surroundings so once you finish, hop online and begin planning your own route.
Ep.1 – Big Sur
Forgotten Roads
To kick things off, Alex and Brian explore the mountains of Big Sur after finding out that the popular recreation area has been closed for almost a year. With a monster loop planned, the duo decided to add in a few side missions for good measure.
With their eyes set on the next adventure, Alex and Brian head east into the San Bernadino forest. In an epic day out the pair are able to explore some of the highest mountains in California.
The inspiration for the Forgotten Roads series, this time Alex and Brian take on the Old Ridge Route – a road built over 100 years back connecting Los Angeles to Bakersfield. An incredible route steeped in history to wrap the series up.
