Valentino Zaballa third in the general ranking

SAUNIER DUVAL – PRODIR second in the team classification
The first race of the UCI Pro Tour is complete and ended with an amazing stage, filled with tension right to the finish line! Alejandro Valverde (Illes Balears) won the stage ahead of Pellizotti (Liquigas – Bianchi) and Kirchen (Fassa Bortolo). Bobby Julich (CSC) leads the overall ranking, Valverde is second and Tino Zaballa third. As usual, the SAUNIER DUVAL – PRODIR team was quite aggressive today; Jose Angel Gomez Marchante was attacking on the climbs and Zaballa tried to defend his position in the general classification at front of the peloton.
