Brilliant start for the Swisspower Mountain Bike Team

The start of the season in Buchs, Switzerland, was a big success for the Swisspower Team; three Swisspower riders finished the race in the top 6. Florian Vogel, Nino Schurter and German Champion Wolfram Kurschat set the pace early in the race. By the second of the six 5.2 km laps, 26 year-old Florian Vogel was alone up front, followed by Kurschat.

In the meantime, Nino Schurter fought a neck-and-neck battle for third with European Champion Jose Antonio Hermida, a duel that was finally won by Schurter. Swiss champion Jürg Graf finished sixth behind Italy's Marco Fontana.

With Matthias Rupp taking third in the junior category, the Swisspower Team celebrated another successful weekend.
