BIKE Magazin GIRLS CAMP in Austria, July 13 – 17, 2008

THE Austrian Ötztal, the longest side valley of the famous Inntal, is a superlative bike region. Between the barren rock deserts of the glacial moraines on the border to the eternal ice and the luscious green of the valley bottom, you’ll find an area full of charm. 687 km of official bike routes between 700 and 2500 meters in elevation, including some of the best single track trails in the eastern Alps, make this region incredibly attractive. 250 peaks over 3000 meters guarantee a tremendous view. And in order to save some meters climbing uphill, all lifts of the Ötztal also run in summer. 

The girls camp offers tours in different difficulty levels. There are courses to improve your riding techniques -fundamentals, bunny hops, turns, switchbacks, stairs - as well as seminars about bike maintenance and service. Additionally, every participant gets a lactate performance test and an individual analysis by professionals from “Pro-Formance” with Stefanie Mollnhauer. Her evening seminar provides you with lots of tips concerning training and nutrition. The Scott team will provide the newest bikes for testing and on top of that you can finally look at the full Scott collection in the specially set-up showroom.  SRAM/RockShox reps will be also on hand to assist you with all your technical questions. The accommodations, at a four star hotel in Längenfeld, guarantees a cozy atmosphere to relax and hang out after a day of biking. The Aqua Dome, the biggest spa in the Alps, provides the utmost in comfort and guarantees a quick recovery.


The camp is organized by Karen Eller, professional mountain biker and head of the Scott Contessa Team.

The package includes: Four nights/half board in a four star hotel, lunch packages, all bike tours and technique seminars, evening program, lactate performance test, entry to the spa, Scott test bikes, welcome package, lift tickets, bike magazine, Topeak mini-tools, camp shirt, and a photo cd of the camp.
