03 July 2014

Elisa Desco from Italy took the mountain running community by storm this weekend at the Skyrunning World Championships in Chamonix, France.

Winning the overall women’s marathon category with a time of 3:53.33, Desco set her mark within a very competitive field. This is following an intensive preparation last year and a successful start to the season having already placed second at the Sky Marathon in Zegama. Elisa was elated with her result in the highly competitive field of world elite runners given she ran the race leading the front pack from the start.

In the men’s race, SCOTT had a strong showing from team runners Pascal Giguet (TEAM SCOTT Odlo LED Lenser) who finished 24th overall, just ahead of Sir Jono Wyatt. His teammate Arnaud BONIN (SCOTT ODLO LED LENSER) placed 2nd in the cross distance equaling his 2013 result.Congratulations to all of the SCOTT athletes who competed at the Skyrunning World Championships.
