SCOTT team riders sweep final day of Aspen Open

The third annual Aspen Open came to a close today, but not before SCOTT athletes got some work done. The morning brought men's and women's ski slopestyle to the X course. Women's ski slope brought women's skiing to a whole new level, as the ladies were spinning both ways, throwing Lincolns, and showing big amplitude. When the three-run finals came to a close, It was SCOTT Athlete Keri Herman on top of the podium, Anna Segal was second, and Meg Olenick (who rocks SCOTT poles) in third. Just missing the podium was Ashley Battersby in fourth place, who stomped a switch 7 over the last hit.



The Mens slope was a huge success for SCOTT team riders. Of the 10 finalists, 7 were SCOTT athletes. When the dust settled no one could top Aspens own Matt Walker. Matt has been skiing strong all year and brought a variety of 9's and finished his run with a cab 10. Tom Wallisch who is known round the world for his trickery on rails finished second, while SCOTT rider Alexis Godbout podiumed for the third year in a row at this comp in third. Notice the abundance of Team Issue poles on the podium in this shot.



On the snowboard side of things, Sunday brought Mens Superpipe finals as well. SCOTT team rider Joe Eddy who was the reigning champion in this event, proved again that he would not be beat in this pipe. Joe took first in pipe, and second in Slope. Great job this weekend JOE!



Overall it was a great weekend for SCOTT team athletes, and congrats to all who competed.
