Scott Unveils Ransom Goggle

SCOTT Wintersport unveiled the Ransom goggle at the Ski Industries of America tradeshow in January in Las Vegas. The Ransom, new for 2005-2006, delivers unmatched optical clarity and fit. Scott’s motivation was to create a helmet compatible goggle that also performs flawlessly when used without a both helmet, without compromising face fit, visibility or Scott’s legendary fog-free performance. What sets the Ransom apart:

Face Integrated Technology (FIT) Design:
Scott unveils the new FIT design with the Ransom goggle. FIT design incorporates the Dual Position Clip System and Spherical Injection Molded Polycarbonate lens, delivering unsurpassed performance, fit and visibility.

Dual Position Clip System:
The Dual Position clip system is engineered to provide a consistent face fit for both helmet and non-helmet use through a two-position clip attached to the goggle frame. To optimize the goggle for helmet use, place the clip in the forward position. The forward position situates the goggle at the optimum angle to correctly fit all helmets while offering unparalleled visibility. To optimize the goggle fit for non-helmet use, place the clip in the back position. The back position places the goggle flush against the head, again correctly angling the goggle for unparalleled visibility. The DPC system attaches to the goggle frame via an integrated extension arm. The arm extends from the frame ensuring that goggle pressure is evenly distributed over the face for incomparable fit and feel.

Six-Base Injection Molded Polycarbonate Dual Lens:
The Scott Six-Base Injection Molded Polycarbonate Dual Lens is computer engineered to match the natural curvature of the human eye. This allows light to pass undistorted through the lens to the eye, delivering a completely unaltered natural view. This, coupled with the use of an injection molded polycarbonate lens, delivers unmatched optical clarity and durablilty.

Multi Layer Face Foam:
Scott multi layer face foam provides the same precise fit as our hypoallergenic super soft face foam while incorporating an additional layer of fleece. The result is the softest, most comfortable face foam available.
