SCOTT girls take freeskiing podium spots at U.S. Nationals
March 22, 2008 - The U.S. Nationals at Snowbird, Utah came to an end today. After four days of on again off again clouds and sunshine, and skiing pushed by all to new levels, champions were crowned for their achievements. Among the women, Jaclyn Passo continued her flashy skiing and showed no fear in charging all over the mountain. Not only did she finish on top of the podium, she was also only the second woman ever to take home the coveted "Sick Bird" award. SCOTT rider Crystal Wright continued her strong skiing and found herself in second, while Jess McMillan, fresh off her second overall finish in the World Freeride Tour, took home third place.
For the guys, Dylan Crossman took home first while SCOTT Rider Kevin Omeara was second. Everyone on the tour continues to buzz about 18 year-old SCOTT rider Brayden Brassey. Brassey took fifth at Snowbird in his just his second big mountain comp. He also placed 7th in the World Tour event in Crested Butte earlier this year. For his efforts, he was rewarded the Young Gun award for the Snowbird Comp. The next stop on the tour will be in Alaska for the finals - good luck to all.
