New Ski Team Rider: Ashley Battersby
SCOTT proudly announces the addition of Ashley Battersby to its wintersport pro team for the next two years. Ashley, a park and rail specialist, has the drive and ability to redefine women’s freeriding as we know it. The 2004-2005 season marks 17 year-old Ashley’s first season of riding in major competitions and her results are already impressive. Ashley completely dominated the women’s field in the Vermont Open, winning both the slopestyle and rail jams, and produced a solid third place finish in the U.S. Open slopestyle. Ashley’s first-ever video segment, in Off-Trail Productions' First Light, was nominated by Powder Magazine as one of the top five female performances of the year. Ashley is also one of four elite members of the Park City All-Stars ski team.
“Ashley really has a unique sense of style, both on and off the hill. We look forward to working with her on color input, styles and future trends. Her skiing speaks for itself. Ashley is a rail assassin and her style in the park is undisputed. She will be a valuable asset to Scott for many years to come,” states Jonny Atencio, Scott team manager.
