Michi Bacher third at Powerade Pleasure Jam

Saturday November 12, 2005 was the date for the Powerade Pleasure Pro Contest, and the conditions were perfect: sunshine, a nicely shaped park and about 30 well-known riders were gathered at the start. At 10:30, the jam session started. The action was really amazing for so early in the season, as riders pushed each other to go big. Austria's Michi Bacher (SCOTT International Team) put down some solid runs, including tricks from Backside 180 to Switch frontside 9 to finish third. The winner was Nicky Wievig (Swe), Rudi Kröll (A) was second. Best trick went to Eero Ettala (Fin) with a super clean backside rodeo 720 and the smoothest rider was Jakob Wilhelmson (Swe).

Bacher has recovered well after last season's accident in which he injured his back. Bacher has been riding in the parks of Austria's glaciers again almost every day. For the next three weeks he'll be in Mammoth and Breckenridge in the U.S. for some photo shoots.

Watch out for Michi Bacher this season – he is going big.
