High Voltage Six Goggle Released
SCOTT USA has released yet another big gun from our seemingly endless goggle arsenal, the High Voltage Six.
Out for a test drive this July, Wintersport Division Team Manager Jon Atencio broke out the goggles at the summer camps at Whistler. "The response to these goggles has been great and the chrome side rails give it a real edgy look," Jon said after yet another jib session on the glacier.
"These goggles have a progressive moto look combined with technical engineering and solid function. Plus I suffered a few beaters while attempting my patented '360 lose-a-shoe aerial' but the goggles took the abuse without a single problem." Later Mr. Atencio also admitted that he had attracted more than a few glances from the ladies while wearing the High Voltage Six. But that's a different story.
The High Voltage Six was first conceived as a high-performance SCOTT USA motocross goggle. The original design was created to fit the restrictive shape of a motorcycle helmet and demanding performance needs of motocross riders. Shortly thereafter, our engineers adapted this technology to the performance needs of skiers and snowboarders and the High Voltage Six snow goggle was born.
The High Voltage Six was engineered utilizing our patented RAM AIR ventilation system with an air spoiler to direct air towards the lens and away from the eyes for advanced anti-fogging protection. New strap side rails create a perfect transition from goggle-to-strap-to helmet. We also added contoured face foam that's raised in the top-center portion of the goggle to prevent the nemesis to all helmet wearers, the "ice cream headache." Finally, by changing the lens to our patented Amplifier Tint with a six base spherical thermoformed lens, we maximized optical clarity and the transition was complete.
The High Voltage Six will be available in your local snow shop for the 2001/2002 season.
