Mt. Hood '04 Photo Shoot - July 15-18, 2004

It's summer time and that means the annual road trip to Mt. Hood, Oregon, in the Scott team support truck. The truck—a yoked-out, black, four-door, long-bed Ford F350 turbo diesel with a recent turbo upgrade and newly installed Kicker amps and speakers — is a road tripper's dream machine. Andy McCabe (creative genius) and I (Jonny A) headed from Sun Valley, Idaho, to Portland, Oregon, to meet up with rider Mikey Leblanc. Mikey was busy working on samples for his new clothing company, Holden, and trying to wrap up the editing of his new movie Love/Hate. (Take a peek at the teaser for Love/Hate: http://www.lovehatemovie.com) After checking out his office, we went to lunch and discussed his new pro model goggle for the 05/06 Scott line. Next, we picked up team rider/photographer Mike Basich at the Portland airport and headed to Windell's to get Tyler Emond and lil' Kevin Pearce. Mikey B had to film the opening to his segment in Sound Strait's newest movie Nine to Five—you may remember them from their earlier, incredibly funny movies, The Temple and Couching Tiger. To get the killer shots for our photo shoot, Mikey B followed the riders over the tables and in the pipe. This enabled Mikey to get the unique POV (point of view) shots that most photographers can't get. Over the next three days, we hooked up with more Scott team riders: Shane Flood, Mike Wilson, Hexi Mexi [Kevin Casillo], Brent Meyers, and Sammy Carlson, in addition to Emond and Pearce. The athletes all rocked the newest goggle, the Motive, which seems to be the goggle of choice for most of our athletes. Enjoy the rest of the summer, and we look forward to seeing you this winter!
