Simon Gerrans equalled his best Amstel Gold Race finish on Sunday. The Australian punctuated a tactically sound race ridden by his ORICA-GreenEDGE teammates with an acceleration on the final ascent of the Cauberg.

Daryl Impey made it two for two in the Basque Country as he sprinted to victory in Vitoria. The South African took advantage of a fantastic lead out from Simon Gerrans and Michael Matthews in the field sprint finish to stage two.

Matteo Pelucchi earned his first victory in the IAM Cycling colors at the first stage of the Circuit de la Sarthe. He had come tantalizingly close to a win during the first stage of the Tour of the Mediterranean when he took second on the line at Gruissan in early February. This time the Italian won in stunning fashion having crossed the line first after a straightaway of over a kilometer.

ORICA-GreenEDGE was all in for Simon Gerrans on the first stage of Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco.
In order to step up their training for the coming year, SCOTT Team Swisspower took part in their second ABSA Cape Epic. Ambitions going into the event were quite high, but an untimely crash in the prologue would set the tone for the rest of the event.

Marino Vanhoenacker takes second place at the IRONMAN® Asia-Pacific Championship in Melbourne this weekend behind Eneko Llanos. Australia’s two-time IRONMAN world champion Craig Alexander finished just seconds behind Vanhoenacker in third.
Simon Gerrans surprised as he shot out of the final corner ahead of the finish line to rocket past the sprinters for victory on stage six of Volta a Catalunya.
