Jordi Tixier claimed his first ever MX2 Grand Prix win this weekend in Loket (Czech Republic), round fourteen of the World Championship. The Frenchman beat all the big names of the series, except series leader, Jeffrey Herlings, who missed the event due to a leg breaking crash earlier in the week.

Clement Desalle won in Teutschenthal (Germany), his fourth MXGP win of the season. This victory positions him only twenty-five points behind Cairoli in the overall standings. In the MX2 class current runner up Arnaud Tonus got injured during the practice session.
