MX2: Musquin is still leading

After a disappointing qualification on Saturday, Marvin Musquin (KTM) did a strong performance in Teutschenthal (Germany) home of the eighth round of the MX World Championship. Winner of the first heat and runner up in the second one, Musquin leads Ken Roczen (Suzuki) and Zach Osborne (Yamaha) on the podium. The German lost his chances to win another German GP when he had troubles with his goggles during the first race, finishing only fifth this period. Seventh of the first heat, Gautier Paulin crashed early in the second race and came back from twenty fifth to eleventh.

MX1: Sixth podium for Clement Desalle

For the sixth time during the first eight GP’s, Belgian Clement Desalle (Suzuki) claimed another podium in Germany and consolidates his second place in the standings. Twice third, the Suzuki rider ended the day in second overall behind fellow countrymen Ken De Dycker (Yamaha) who won both motos to celebrate his 26th birthday. Fourth of the event behind David Philippaerts (Yamaha), Antonio Cairoli (KTM) leads strongly the series; injured in France two weeks ago (broken collarbone) Max Nagl (KTM) did a good comeback with a sixth place behind Xavier Boog, the best rookie in this class. 


Clément Desalle is once again on the podium, his regularity pays off, he is second in the standings.


Despite a broken collarbone 2 weeks ago in France, Max Nagl is 6th overall for his home GP.

Women: Podium for Lancelot

German Larissa Papenmeier (Suzuki) became this weekend the third woman with Steffie Laier and Livia Lancelot to ever win a World Championship round. Winner of the first heat and runner up behind Italian Chiara Fontanesi (Yamaha) in the second one, Papenmeier is now third in the standings behind Livia Lancelot (KTM) who scored another podium in Germany.


Livia Lancelot got two third place this week endin Germany.

Junior: Tixier leader

For the first time this season Jordi Tixier (KTM) found a rival on his way, and didn’t win both heats of the 125 junior series. Winner of the opening race, the leader of the series crashed at the second start and came back third. That was not enough to win the event, as Jason Clermont (Husqvarna) got a second and a first place to win his first race since a long time.


Jordi Tixier is still dominating the series even if he didn't win both moto in Teutschenthal.
