Career higlights: My career in cycling looks a bit different to one of a pro athlete. So I consider it a continuous highlight that I have been able to play a role in different parts of the cycling community and therefore develop a highly flexible profile capable of constantly keeping me stoked.

What is your all-time favourite riding destination?
It might actually be the region around my hometown as it offers absolutely everything for every type of bike. But what’s most important to me is that I would always be able to hang out at my friends' barber shop or record store once I am done with riding. To me this is worth as much as the greatest gravel road.
What are you excited about with your partnership with SCOTT?
It’s somehow a brand that’s always accompanied my life as a cyclist and it also feels a little bit like coming back. Now, being part of the SCOTT family is a great way of making sure I don’t have to worry about access to the optimal product for any task and I feel like this is giving my mind the capacity to think about a potential project as deep as possible.
What does "No Shortcuts" mean to you?
It’s a very conciliatory way of reminding me that whatever one wants to achieve comes at a certain price. And if I decide to pay that price it will be worth the journey.
What do you get up to when you’re not out riding?
It’s very likely that I am at university as my architecture studies are rather time consuming. Potentially I am also listening to a pile of records, playing them at a club in Zurich or I might be discussing a new pop-up restaurant project with my brother.
Outside of cycling, where do you draw inspiration from?
My friends: I notice that people who surround me tend to have very specific passions that they live for. Enthusiastic people is what fascinates me most.
You’re stranded on a desert island. What three things would you want with you?
Tough one! Given that there’s food, I would want to bring salt and olive oil as I can’t live without it. But there’s salt water, so olive oil only. Sun screen, as I start to finally learn that I should use this stuff and probably a cosy sleeping bag.
If you could put up a billboard to be seen by countless people every day, what would you put on it?
That would actually be quite a big responsibility. I would probably try and find a way to have someone else play the board each day in order to collect as many relevant thoughts as possible.
