Team Italy Victorious At FIM ISDE 2021

07 September 2021

Host nation Italy claimed both the World Trophy class and the Junior World Trophy class awards on Saturday’s exhilarating ISDE finale.

The 95th edition of the FIM International Six Days of Enduro came to a climatic end on Saturday after six days of epic enduro racing.

After leading the proceedings from day 1, it was team Italy that finally lifted the World Trophy class trophy at the end of the competition. The team that included SCOTT athletes Andrea Verona (GasGas), Thomas Oldrati (Honda) and Matteo Cavallo (TM) showed incredible strength and determination throughout the full six days of racing and managed to hold off constant challenges from Team Spain and Team USA.

“Today, wasn’t the best for me, so I had to push hard to finish fourth. But my result wasn’t too important today – what is important is that Italy won the World Trophy and Junior World Trophy classes, and I was also the fastest Enduro1 rider overall. To be an Italian and to be a part of your national team competing and winning at home, it’s incredible.”

Team Spain with SCOTT riders Josep Garcia (KTM) and Cristobal Guerrero (Beta) finished in second and Team USA with SCOTT riders Jonathan Girroir (GasGas) and Layne Michael (Yamaha) finished in third, making it an extremely successful week of racing for the SCOTT Sports Off-road program.

The team that consisted of SCOTT athletes Lorenzo Macoritto (TM), Manolo Morettini (KTM), and Matteo Pavoni (TM) eventually finished over 8 seconds ahead of second place team France.
