By Gravel bike from the alps to the Mediterranean Sea
This tour takes you from the foothills of the Julian Alps over the Karst region to the Adriatic Coast. In picturesque Slovenia you cycle just an hour in any direction, and it seems you are in another country.
On this tour there are four stages waiting for you and a Prologue ride. After you can join in for a cold beer, meet new people or enjoy the evening with your riding mates.
The riding is varied through singletracks, forest trails, gravel and back roads. We will tackle over 350km of distance and approximately 6.000m of elevation.
This trip is for an upper intermediate level. A good average physical condition and good overall fitness is an advantage.

Program
Below you can find the description for the 5-nights gravel tour.
The program can be customized for a group of friends with different durations. Please enquire for more details.
The organising team will await you in the departure town point, the picturesque town Bled. For guests arriving before 1pm, there will be a Prologue ride available in the afternoon departing at 2pm to warm up the legs. The ride will be a beautiful loop with the most iconic views of Bled.

- Elevation: 400m
A ride in the very heart of the Julian Alps. Today we will check the two most iconic lakes in Slovenia, starting at Lake Bled and finishing at Lake Bohinj. We will cross the Triglav National Park and admire beautiful springs and mountain pastures.

- Elevation: 1,700m
Today we will first take the transfer to today’s start line. This transfer runs by train on the most famous line and longest train tunnel in Slovenia as we cut through the mountains.
Our ride will take us along the emerald green river Soča, with its mesmerizing colour.

Right opposite the high peaks of the Alps today, we will meet Karst with its rolling hills, many vineyards and fruit gardens where the most hospitable people are living. At almost every corner you can find wine cellars where you can taste local wine and food.
We finish in Lipica, the home town of the world famous white horses, Lipizzan.

Finally, today we slowly descend to sea level, and the closer we are to the sea, the more breath-taking the views will become. For the final 10km we follow the Adriatic through the beautiful town of Piran and to the finish line in the marina in Portorož for a well-earned beer and pasta party.

After breakfast, our event officially comes to an end. You can hop on the service car that will depart in the morning to get back to Bled, with stop at the airport.
However, you cal also prolong the day by enjoying the sun at the Adriatic coast. Please remember in this case to organise your further transport separately (not included in the price).

The nearest airports are Ljubljana, Klagenfurt (Austria), and Trieste and Venice (Italy).
By Car
Departure town Bled is easily accessible by road. It is only 50km from the capital city Ljubljana. On the highway A2 take the exit Lesce-Bled.
