Le Grand Prix d'Italie a attiré de très nombreux spectateurs venus visiter Maggiora, créant une ambiance unique tout au long de l'événement qui s’est tenu le week-end dernier. Le rider suisse Arnaud Tonus est monté sur le podium pour la quatrième fois d'affilée dans la catégorie MX2, consolidant sa deuxième place au classement général.
Vainqueur de son troisième grand prix à Saint Jean d’Angely, Clément Desalle a connu un mois de mai auréolé de succès. Avec cinq victoires sur les six dernières manches du championnat MXGP, il n'est plus qu'à 20 points de Cairoli dans le classement. Grâce à sa nouvelle place sur le podium MX2, Arnaud Tonus consolide sa position de numéro deux au classement général.
Tous deux finalistes du Grand Prix de Grande-Bretagne ce week-end à Matterley Basin, Clément Desalle et Arnaud Tonus consolident leurs deuxièmes places aux championnats du monde. Ils vont à présent se rendre à Saint Jean d’Angely, en France, pour la neuvième manche du championnat.
Vainqueur du Grand Prix d'Espagne ce week-end à Talavera de la Reina, le belge Clément Desalle a signé sa deuxième victoire en MXGP. Accompagné de deux de ses compatriotes pour un podium 100 % belge, Desalle a réitéré sa performance livrée en Italie. Dans la catégorie MX2, Jeffrey Herlings s'est une nouvelle fois imposé, montant sur la première marche du podium avec Dylan Ferrandis et Arnaud Tonus à ses côtés.
