SCOTT Junior Running Team

Marco De Gasperi is a living legend within the mountain running community. Still running strong, the six times World Mountain Running Champion has taken on a whole new challenge for 2016 becoming the SCOTT Junior Team manager. “I am proud to be able to pass on all my passion and experience to the upcoming talents of this sport. SCOTT is offering great opportunities for young athletes and I am confident to build up on that and contribute to future success stories”, says De Gasperi.

Marco's network, knowledge and influence on the running scene offers great insights and inspiration to ramp up faster the new generation towards international level. The youngsters have been selected based on their physical skills and personalities equally and come from 4 different countries.The team is made of the following athletes:

Florence Buchs (SUI), Pascal Buchs (SUI), Andrea Pranti (IT), Mathieu Bruno (IT), Marti Vigo del Arco (ESP), Julien Ancay (SUI) and Mirko Cocco (ITA).

They have competed in various races already including the Santa Caterina VK and Livigno skyraces, both part of the Skyrunner World Series. Next stop for the Junior team is Limone for the VK and skyraces which will both be the final of the World Series setting a world class level to compete against. Look out for black and yellow on the course!
