Double Win - SCOTT Athlete Lou Barin wins the Xtreme Verbier and becomes Overall Champion

06 四月 2026

SCOTT Sports is thrilled to celebrate a landmark achievement from the YETI Xtreme Verbier, the spectacular grand finale of the 2026 FIS Freeride World Tour.
Marking the 30th anniversary of the iconic event on the legendary Bec des Rosses face in Verbier, Switzerland, the competition delivered one of the most intense and rival-filled showdowns in freeride history. Against breathtaking alpine terrain and in front of passionate crowds, the world’s top freeriders pushed the limits in great snow and weather conditions.

A Historic Rookie Triumph in the Ski Women Category

We are incredibly proud to announce that SCOTT athlete Lou Barin (FRA) has been crowned the 2026 Freeride World Tour Champion in the Ski Women category — and she did so in spectacular fashion during her rookie season.
In a jaw-dropping performance at the Verbier grand finale, Lou delivered an impressive run featuring two standout 360s, earning an exceptional score of 95.00. This secured her the event victory and, crucially, propelled her to the top of the overall standings, making her the new 2026 FWT Champion.
From her very first season on the Tour, Lou showcased remarkable composure, creativity, and progression under the highest pressure. What a debut — she could not have dreamed of a more perfect way to announce herself as one of freeride’s brightest new stars.
This victory marks a proud milestone not only for Lou but for the entire SCOTT Sports family and the freeride community. Heartfelt congratulations to Lou on this extraordinary achievement!

Lou Barin

"I am beyond happy to win such an iconic event and take the overall title on my rookie year. Just three years ago, I would never have felt capable of riding the Bec. Since the Alaska comp, I've gained so much confidence. I still can't process what just happened.
I took a lot of pleasure in this face and I got to ski the line I had in mind, with perfect conditions. Taking the overall title is the cherry on top of the cake for this season.
