Stories about the final preparation for the world’s most famous triathlon

Sebastian Kienle and Alistair Brownlee, though both triathletes, are actually quite different. One has competed in Ironman’s for almost a decade, the other one is the best ITU triathlete of all time but has never completed a full Ironman. This Saturday they both belong to the short list of favorites for the title at Ironman Hawaii. What do they have to say about each other? Have a listen.

Kienle did his first Ironman 9 years ago and since then has only finished once out of the top ten at an Ironman where he competed. No one in the last decade has been as consistent as the 2014 Ironman World Champion. Alistair Brownlee on the other hand has never completed a full Ironman in his life. He took part in his first Ironman in June at the IM Ireland but had to just bike and run to take the title as the swim got cancelled because of bad weather conditions. Each athlete’s background couldn’t be more different and should make an interesting battle between the SCOTT athletes.
