How and when did you start skiing, how has it evolved ever since, and what got you into freeskiing?
I started skiing at about the age of 3. I’ve evolved just as skiing has through the years. I’ve always loved powder and being in the mountains, so I think I’ve been freeskiing since the day I put on skis.
Was there any particular experience that made you consider skiing professionally?
Squaw Valley is a hub of talent for freeriding with many of the top athletes in the world being based there. When I moved there many years ago I realized I could hang with the best of them and things naturally aligned to pursue skiing professionally.
Who were/are your idols on and off the hill?
Jamie Burge, Hunter Pence, Madison Bumgarner, Peyton Manning.
What does skiing mean t you personally?
It’s more than just a sport, it’s a way of life.
Do you have any specific goals for your skiing in the future?
Ski until I’m too old to walk.
What aspect of skiing thrills you the most?
Sending cliffs, getting pitted in pow, and spring skiing.
In what condition and what terrain do you enjoy riding the most?
Powder and spring corn snow. Steep, big mountain terrain littered with cliffs.
Any activities that aren’t skiing related?
Surfing, mountain biking, fishing, yoga
