McRae Williams: Off-Season Training
Ever wonder what it takes to compete with the world's best? SCOTT Freestyle ski athlete McRae Williams gives us a peak into his off-season training routine.
"During the off season, I spend a lot of time at the Center of Excellence in my home town of Park City, UT. This state of the art training facility is available to all US ski team athletes year round offering a wide variety of training tools. I do a lot of other outdoor activities as well such as rock climbing and mountain biking, which not only keep me in shape for skiing, but also get me out and into the mountains where I love to be, rather than being stuck in the gym all the time. On top of all that, I spend some time at the Utah Olympic Park where we have a brand new slopestyle specific jump into the pool. Whether it be coaching, doing shows, or just working on some new tricks for myself, the water ramp is a great tool to have during the off season, plus It’s just fun to get some air time on my skis when there isn’t any snow around."
