The Cadence Plus is a racing helmet designed for high performance and maximum comfort. Through extensive tests in a wind-tunnel, every detail of this helmet has been analysed. With its aerodynamic and sleek design, the Cadence Plus gives optimal airflow and cooling, enhancing the riders comfort and keeping them focused during intense performances. Its new MIPS air node technology allows for optimal protection against rotational impacts, while the clip-in rear light ensures safety and visibility during low-light conditions. MIPS® Safety System
The brain is typically more sensitive to rotational motion than linear motion because it has shear properties similar to water or gel. When different parts of the brain move relative to each other because of rotational motion, the tissues can stretch, which can cause concussions or other brain injuries.
Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions and more severe brain injury in oblique hits to the head. The Mips® safety system consists of a low friction layer mounted inside the helmet. In a crash, the low friction layer is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head. This is intended to help reduce the risk of brain injury.
A SAFETY SYSTEM THAT MIMICS THE BRAIN
Unlike traditional helmets, which are mainly designed and tested for straight impacts, the Mips® safety system’s low-friction layer mimics the brain’s own system for protection against rotational motion.
STRAIGHT VS ANGLED IMPACTS
Traditional helmets are designed for straight impacts, but most impacts are angled.
The low friction layer is designed to reduce the rotational force of angled impacts.
Aero Optimized
Our Aero-optimized helmets were developed in cooperation with our Pro athletes. Designed and engineered to maximize aerodynamics, these helmets allow for that precious increase in rider speed. Extensive testing in the wind tunnels allowed us to minimize drag in multiple head positions.
Optimized Venting
Strategically placed outer vents connects to extensive inner cooling channels.
PC In-Mold Construction
During the in-mold manufacturing process, the outer shell of polycarbonate material is fused with the helmet’s impact-absorbent foam liner, creating a super-lightweight outer shell. With reduced weight and bulk surrounding the head, in-mold helmets are more comfortable than traditional helmets.
Rear Safety Light
Rear light ensures visibility in both daylight and night conditions.
