Annabel Luxford Wins Ironman 70.3 European Championship

Annabel Luxford is always tough over the 70.3 distance and this weekend was no different as the Australian took a convincing victory in front of the Danish crowd.Luxford was already the first woman out of the water and then soon broke away on her Plasma with swim-lead-partners Dane's Camilla Pedersen and Helle Frederiksen. During the run leg it was then Luxford who had the most energy left and powered away to take an impressive victory in a time of 4:07:00, 00:02:34 quicker than local star Helle Frederiksen.

Annabel Luxford was not the only SCOTT triathlon athlete who impressed this weekend. Cyril Viennot took a commanding win at Ironman 70.3 Italy. He escaped during the bike leg to come into T2 with the fastest bike split of the day and then managed to hold off the others during the run leg to win his first race of the season.
