Roz G wins gold at the Winter X Games

Canadian skier, Roz Groenewoud, took home her first Winter X Games gold in the Women’s Ski SuperPipe in Aspen, CO. On her second and winning run Roz scored a 93.66 and took the lead from fellow SCOTT athlete, Maddie Bowman.  Roz through a massive 14-foot straight air, a 900, back-to-back 540s, a left-side 720 and a switch 540 to ultimately claim Gold. Bowman’s Run 2 score of 92.00 earned her a silver medal and Sigourney third with a score of 90.66 after performing the only 1080 of the competition.

Groenewoud previously won bronze at the 2009 and 2010 X Games in Women's Ski. She won the North Face Open at Whistler this year, and will represent the Canadian national halfpipe team at the 2014 Sochi Games in Russia.
