Tom Wallisch wins Slopestyle silver at Winter X Games Europe

16 March 2012
The men‘s slopestyle final at the Winter X Games Europe in Tignes was on fire. In a close and exciting competition it was finally Bobby Brown ending Tom Wallisch‘s dream season by taking the gold medal.

SCOTT team rider Tom Wallisch won silver with an insane run: switch on switch up 630 out, pretzl 270 out, switch 270 on 270 out, left dub 12, switch right dub 10, switch left dub 10, switch 270 on pretzl 450 out. In his second run, Tom made a mistake on a rail section which he knew he would have to make for in his final run of 3. In typical Tom fashion he spent the rest of run 2 entertaining the crowd throwing huge double backflips.

Tom was very happy with silver in front of Andreas Hatveit who was awarded the bronze medal.

On the ladies side, Kaya Turski won her 6th gold medal in row in front of Anna Segal. Dara Howell, part of the SCOTT North America Team, earned a bronze with a switch 540, a sick cork 720 tail and a huge flat 540 after some standard slides in the beginning.

Congrats to all competitors and see you next year at the European X Games.
