Men's Ski of the Year - Fall Line Magazine

01 January 2018

Since 1991 Fall Line Magazine has been the leading publication for Backcountry skiers in the UK. Every year they test just about every piece of kit to find the best for their coveted and widely recognised awards.

What did they think about our Slight 93 :

"One of the many things Scott does exceptionally well is to build‘do everything’ skis – skis that make you smile all over themountain and laugh at your friends’ quiver quandaries in the bootroom each day. Scott has carried that ethos from the original Mission(arguably the defi nitive all-mountain ski of its day) right through theCrusade series, and now into their replacement – the Slight series.Available in 93 (as in mm under foot) and 100 versions, the Slight fits straight into what Scott call the ‘crossover’ category as themodern all-mountain ski, and they don’t disappoint. Like theirpredecessors they’re gutsy enough to smash through crud, wideenough to surf a beautiful powder turn when opportunity presentsitself, and torsionally stiff enough to hang onto even the slickest ofJanuary hardpack – but Scott has also added a new quality to themix: lightness. As skiing evolves so does the notion of a ‘do it all’ ski,and at 1500g/ski the Slight is light enough to foray beyond the reachof the lifts when new lines and fresher snow beckon."
