Flat mountain bike shoes
While these seem a lot like normal sneakers, they're more rigid, and the soles are flat for optimum contact. Since you can use them with any bike that has standard pedals, flat shoes make a good choice for beginners. And as they're relatively versatile, they're a sensible option for those occasions when you spend as much time off your bike as on. They're also the preferred shoe for downhill racing. Our models are made from a sticky rubber compound that generates excellent traction.
Clip-in mountain bike shoes
This type of shoe actually locks onto the pedal via a cleat in the sole. As a result, you don't have to worry about your feet slipping out of place during the heat of competition. They only work with what are known as "clipless" pedals, but they compensate by being extremely efficient, that is why they are used by our top athletes competing in cross country mountain biking or enduro mtb. Our clip-ins have features such as Boa wire closures, just reach down and turn the dial to adjust the fit of the shoe on the fly.
