Cabirou Wins Back to Back World Cups

12 8월 2019

Marine Cabirou made it back to back World Cup Victories for the SCOTT DH Factory.

Lenzerheide, Switzerland - The good times and fast riding of the SCOTT DH Factory team just keep on rolling. In the teams' first year, it has already had numerous World Cup Podiums, top-tens, two WC victories and has been the fastest team on the weekend twice - what a start. What started off as a race weekend full of rain, turned into an event with some of the tightest and most exciting racing of the year.

Though Marine didn't have a great start to the week, she would prove her resilience on race day coming down the hill just a fraction faster than Tracey Hannah. The competition between these two has been great to watch for spectators and athletes alike.

That makes it two World Cup victories for Marine in the season and for her career. We have a sneaky feeling that the trend might continue.

"It is just incredible! I had a tough time on the track leading up to the final, and made a few mistakes - it was super slippery. I took some lines I had yet to take, and the result was super close, but i'm so happy to take another win!"

In the Men's race, Flo Payet would be the first athlete from the team down the hill, the first to break the three-minute mark on the day, and spending time in the hot seat. Flo would finish 10th on the day, his first top ten of the season.

Dean would then come down even faster, showing that he is coming to form at the right time just before World Champs in MSA, a track where he has seen success in the past. Finishing in 7th on the day, that makes it several top-tens for the season and once again the Fastest Team of the weekend.
