All Terrain Traction
The center part of the mid foot and heel provide efficiency of traction on all terrains to prevent slippage and save energy. The lug configuration in the outer part of the forefoot provides extra stability. This covers the two essential needs when running an ultra trail race.
Durability meets comfort
Wrapping the foot in a 4 ways stretch one-piece upper the advanced Schoeller Dynamic fabric is abrasion resistant, breathable and offers outstanding comfort.
Protection and drop
The Supertrac Ultra RC midsole was designed to answer the specific needs of Ultra running with increased stack height for comfort and protection against the ground and a drop of 8mm for a dynamic yet economical stride.
Development Process
In developing the SUPERTRAC ULTRA RC we worked in collaboration with athletes, research laboratories and our design team to define the specific characteristics for an ultra trail racing shoe.
The "All Terrain Traction" outsole design of the Supertrac Ultra RC is based on data and experience with our award winning skyrunning shoe, the Supertrac RC.
A collaboration with Swiss material specialists SCHOELLER resulted in the use of their DYNAMIC fabric a 4 way stretch, DWR water resistant and highly durable material ideally suited to the rigors of ultra trail racing.
A micro layer of KPU provides protection in strategic areas from trail debris.
Extensive R&D in conjunction with exhaustive field testing refines and evolves the SUPERTRAC ULTRA RC into the race ready shoe you see today.
