Athlete talk

What does skiing mean to you personally?

Skiing, for me, is a feeling of freedom in the mountains, a rush of speed and adrenaline. It’s both my favorite way to move around and the coolest way to play in the mountains.

When did you start skiing and how have you evolved as a skier?

Growing up in Chamonix, I started skiing at a very young age, beginning with cross-country skiing in competitions. Over time, I transitioned to high-mountain and steep-slope skiing.

Who were/are your idols on and off the hill?

On skis, I’ve always drawn inspiration from many different fields, including Mathéo Jacquemoud and Kilian Jornet, Sam Anthamatten and Léo Slemmet, as well as Vivian Bruchez.

What do you get up to when you’re not skiing?

I spend most of my time in the mountains—climbing in the summer, ice climbing in the winter, or under a paraglider! I also take a lot of photos, which means I spend quite some time behind the computer editing.

Outside of skiing, where do you draw inspiration from?

It’s still closely tied to skiing, but always from the mountains! Even in summer, I think about new inspirations for the next season, seeing the hills from a different perspective.

What do you like most about SCOTT?

What I love most about SCOTT is the variety of skis in their lineup. I can always find a ski suited to any of my disciplines, on any mountain in the world.

What are your favorite SCOTT products?

Definitely the Super Guide 88, which I use all the time—they’re stiff and super skiable on steep slopes! The Scott Couloir Tour helmet is also always on my head, even on alpine trips—it’s so lightweight!
