Athlete talk

What does skiing mean to you personally?

Skiing embodies everything I love in the world: the camaraderie with friends, the adrenaline rush, the personal growth, and the opportunity to spend time in the mountains—whether accompanied or alone.

When did you start skiing and how have you evolved as a skier?

I began skiing at the age of 3 in a small resort near my home with my grandmother. I then followed the traditional alpine racing path for 15 years. After two years with the FIS in alpine skiing, I decided to step away.

I felt the need to ski even more and express myself in another discipline that encompasses all aspects of skiing: freeride. The idea of combining all skiing practices into one is what motivates me and truly represents my vision of the sport.

Who were/are your idols on and off the hill?

I’ve been heavily inspired by skiers from my valley in Chamonix, such as Tof Henry, Aurélien Ducroz, Sam Favret, and others. But I also draw inspiration from skiers around the world like Kye Peterson and Seth Morrison.

In alpine skiing, I looked up to Bode Miller for his rebellious spirit on the circuit.

To sum it up, I don’t have a single favorite skier because I’m inspired by many people. Each rider has their own unique style, whether it’s in skiing, snowboarding, or any other sport. I’m constantly inspired by a wide range of riders from all over.

What do you get up to when you’re not skiing?

When I’m not skiing, I stay active with various sports like mountain biking and road cycling, as well as a lot of weight training and physical preparation. I enjoy feeling fit and physically ready.

In addition to all of that, I work as a carpenter and joiner during the summer, and I’m also a hut guardian with my father. I love spending time in the mountains, whether it’s at the refuge or running.

Outside of skiing, where do you draw inspiration from?

I’m very hands-on and enjoy building things with my own hands. I find a lot of satisfaction in my work as a carpenter. I also love spending time at my isolated mountain hut.

What do you like most about SCOTT?

What I love most about Scott is the quality and performance of their products, along with the fact that they’re involved in so many different disciplines, maintaining the same level of consistency and product excellence.

What are your favorite SCOTT products?

My favorite products are the back protection range, as they are very effective thanks to the D3O system, and especially very comfortable with the breathable and lightweight Scott vest. This product has become an essential for my ski journey.
