Two Podiums in Kona for 2013

14 October 2013

It was a wonderful day for SCOTT Athletes Luke McKenzie and Sebastian Kienle, finishing the World Championships in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.

Luke had his greatest day on the big stage at Kona. He was the only man to chase down breakaway star Andrew Starykowicz on the bike. McKenzie then held on firmly to the lead until Mile 16, where Van Lierde would pass him, and go on to win.

Sebastian Kienle bettered his performance from last year without any punctures, but did not have the best run. Still, a World Champion Title in Las Vegas and a 3rd in Kona is nothing to be ashamed of.

Cyril Viennot finished in twelvth, rounding out a successful weekend for SCOTT and the Plasma Premium.
