The SCOTT DH Factory is ready to kick things off with a new destination partner for 2022.

15 March 2022

The SCOTT DH Factory sprints into the 2022 season with renewed support from its main partners: SCOTT, FOX, MAXXIS, SHIMANO, and SYNCROS. The team has managed to successfully establish itself on the DH World Cup circuit as a team to be reckoned with, and this momentum is set to be amplified for the future. For 2022 and beyond, the team’s portfolio has been bolstered through a new partnership with one of Europe's most established riding destinations: Châtel.

Partnering with Châtel will provide the SCOTT DH Factory with an ideal base for training, product development and for getting race ready all season long.

"The SCOTT DH Factory has already worked with Châtel for some time, and I am very happy that this partnership is expanding. The regular access to the bikepark and the infrastructure will allow us to come and train regularly; it's a real plus for our team", says Patrice Afflatet, SCOTT DH Factory Team Manager. "It's a real pleasure to have the support of Châtel. It's really interesting to work with passionate and motivated people to make beautiful tracks! This will allow us to continue our work and to train regularly in a bike park with a variety of technical terrain", says SCOTT DH Factory rider Marine Cabirou.

With access to world class infrastructure, and with the ability to build custom tracks, Châtel will quickly make its mark on the race program. Already renowned as one of the best places to ride in Europe, this partnership will continue to fuel the resort's success, building on momentum gained in recent years and attracting more and more mountain bikers and families every summer. "We are very happy to continue our relationship and partnership with SCOTT. Châtel is very attached to the values of sport and cycling, and together we are looking to the future. Dynamism, innovation, research and performance are our common goals" says Nicolas Rubin, Mayor of Châtel and President/General Director SAEM Sports and Tourism.

Châtel has been a staple in the mountain bike scene for many years. Its history is steeped in its freeride and downhill trails, but also has a rapidly growing network of trails for enduro, e-bikes, and family friendly options. Together with the SCOTT DH Factory, Châtel is now taking the next steps to further develop the region and expand its own downhill trail network to World Cup levels. Julian Wagner, Bike Marketing Lead at SCOTT Sports, adds: “We've been working with Châtel for years and couldn’t be more thrilled to continue to do so with the SCOTT DH Factory. Having a resort partner in such a premium location will be ideal for our DH Program. From training to product development, Châtel's infrastructure has everything to offer!”

The SCOTT DH Factory team has been preparing during the early season, with testing and riding in Portugal and close to the team's base in the south of France. With the first World Cup in Lourdes rapidly approaching, we're eager to see what Marine, Dean, Flo, Brendan and Dylan have in store for the 2022 season.
